I see these commercials for resorts and cruise ships and it’s wall-to-wall hotties. Why don’t they have some ugly folks in these ads? I want to see lunch ladies, etc.

They are registered in other countries, to save taxes. Yet they profit from primarily American customers. These customers often do not realize that the ships are not subject to American laws on cleanliness or fire safety. Lately, it has come to light that many unpublicized crimes have taken place on cruise ships. If these crimes occur in International waters, there is no rules on how they are investigated.

Although the American FBI has been called into some of these cases, by the time they reach the scene, the decks have been swabbed, the fingerprints removed, the evidence washed away. We have all read the horror stories of people disappearing, tossed into the ocean, with no way of discovering what happened.

Should Cruise Ships that depend upon American clients be forced to follow American laws? Or should we continue to allow these foreign ships to handle things their own way, despite the murders, the rapes, the fires and the incessant stomach complaints?
